We are looking for people who are excited about WordPress to entertain our attendees and teach them new things.<\/p>\n<h3>Submission Deadline<\/h3>\n<p>The submission period ended Friday, May 13 so we are no longer accepting proposals. Try again next year!<\/p>\n<h3>Why speak?<\/h3>\n<p>Presenting at WordCamp takes some work but is very rewarding. You get to show off how smart you are, convince people you\u2019re worth hiring and help everyone learn about WordPress, all at the same time.\u00a0Speakers also receive free admittance to WordCamp.<\/p>\n<h3>What we\u2019re looking for<\/h3>\n<p>The ideal speaker has a WordPress-related topic they are passionate about and that they can present in <strong>45 minutes<\/strong> with attractive <strong>PowerPoint slides<\/strong> and <strong>detailed coherent explanations<\/strong>. Designers, Bloggers, Businesses and Developers are all welcome! Talks can be <strong>in English or French<\/strong>. Your topic should be <strong>specific to WordPress<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Show us what you\u2019ve made with WordPress and explain <em>how<\/em> you did it, or what you learned in the process. Give us <strong>concrete examples<\/strong>: code snippets, 10 important lessons you learned, specific advice on how to avoid problems, etc. Nothing is too hardcore, advanced, simple or beginner-level.
