WordCamp Montréal is an affordable and independent event because of the important work done by our volunteers in the days leading up to the event and at the event itself. Volunteers able to give at least 4 hours of their time over the weekend will receive free admission on request.

After completing the volunteer form you will be contacted by our volunteer coordinator, who will act as your point of contact and provide you with more information in the run-up to the event. Please register for WordCamp Montreal after receiving that email.
Our aim to to enable volunteers to ‘sign-up’ for their time slots once the speaker programme has been drafted, so as to minimize the chance of missing talks you really want to attend.
Volunteer tasks
- Registration Table
- Video recording of talks
- Driving and Delivery/pickup of big stuff
- Setup and teardown at beginning and end of event.
Happiness Bar
The Happiness Bar is a special activity at WordCamp where local and visiting WordPress experts offer help and advice to other attendees who come up to the “bar” with their problems. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people and show them how much you know (maybe they’ll hire you!).
Happiness Bar volunteers don’t get free attendance because it’s a fun and rewarding activity on it’s own. Sign up using the normal volunteer application below, just make sure you check the “Happiness Bar” box. (of course normal volunteers are also encouraged to participate in the Happiness Bar!)
