All good sites start with a good foundation &#8212; semantic and valid HTML and CSS. Once you have that foundation, you have all the power in the world to control the look of your site.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop will look at the box model and the most commonly used HTML tags and how to use them to lay out your text without breaking your theme. We&#8217;ll also take a look at CSS &#8212; what it is and how to use it to style your content.<\/p>\n<p><em>This talk is aimed for beginner coders who don&#8217;t know their &lt;a&gt; from their &lt;span&gt; class.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>About Laurie M. Rauch<\/h3>\n<p>Laurie M. Rauch believes that great user experiences start at the first line of code.
