This year, WordCamp Montreal 2015 welcomes a change of venue. For the first time, the event will be held at Concordia University (the Sir George Williams Campus). Located in the heart of downtown Montreal and easily accessible by Guy-Concordia metro station, this venue is situated in a vibrant and diverse part of the city. All the rooms are equipped with a podium and audio-visual presentation equipment and projectors. The venue buildings are wheelchair accessible.

Venue Map
The venue rooms are spread across two buildings, two in the Henry F. Hall building and two in the J.W. McConnell Library building. There is a tunnel connecting the two buildings that are across the street from each other.
Atrium (LB-Ground Floor)
Situated on the ground floor of the J.W. McConnell Library Building, the atrium is accessible from Maisonneuve street or through the tunnel that connects the Hall building to the Library building. The lofty space is welcoming, open and airy. Morning registration, coffee stations, lunch service and the Happiness Bar will be in the Atrium.

Alumni Auditorium (H-110)
The Alumni Auditorium Hall is a large auditorium with the capacity of over 600 people. It features state-of-the-art digital projectors and screens and seats equipped with self-storing writing tablets and plug sockets. It can be accessed through the ground floor of the Henry F. Hall building. No food or beverages are allowed in the auditorium.Address

Lecture Room (H-407)
The Lecture Room is a large classroom equipped with desks and whiteboard with the capacity for 110. While smaller than the other rooms, this space creates a welcoming and intimate classroom environment. The room is situated on the 4th floor.Address

De Sève Cinema (LB-125)
With a capacity of 160, the De Sève Cinema is a movie theatre equipped with a stage and cutting-edge audio-visual technology. The theatre seats are equipped with self-storing writing tablets and plug sockets. The cinema is located on the ground floor of the building (past security). No food or beverages are allowed in the cinema.

Gender Neutral Bathrooms
Concordia University has a number of gender-neutral bathrooms throughout its two campuses. In the Henry F. Hall (H) building, these are located in room H 001.04 (take elevators to level 00, turn left, and left again) and room H 1092.01 (near the elevators).
Nearby Hotels
Unfortunately, we don’t have any special hotel deals. Staying at any hotel located in the downtown area allows for easy access to the main venue through the metro (subway system), bus or on foot.
