As a part of gen X I’ve been in and out of careers and have more diplomas than I really need. My education in library studies, and experience in records has made me something of an information junkie. I have great search skills, and love helping people find what they need. I had a role helping transition to a large multi-site install. At the time my knowledge was very limited, so I found myself spending a lot of time looking for answers, and being a bit scared to commit to doing something. After realizing that mistakes were OK, and asking questions was a good thing I was excited to jump in with both feet.

Andrea is an entrepreneur, marketer, four-time organizer of WordCamp Montreal, and a co-organizer of Do_action Montreal. She trained as a broadcast journalist and worked in corporate communications before trading it for a career in tech. She worked as a Marketer for Automattic, SiteGround, and was most recently VP of Marketing at Kinsta.
Now, she is using her decade of experience in online marketing to grow her own projects: Keiko Furoshiki and Function House, as well as her YouTube channel, The Capsule Suitcase, full of travel and packing tips.
