Our Speakers

Thanks to our engaging speakers who volunteered their time, shared their knowledge, and contributed to the WordPress Community while speaking at WordCamp Montreal.

Our Volunteers

Thank you to our many unpaid volunteers who helped with our registration desk, our hugely successful Happiness Bar, setting up and cleaning up, greeting, translating, and in a million other ways to help WordCamp Montreal run smoothly over two weekend days.

Our Community

Thank you to the Montreal WordPress Community for participating in another successful year!

Hope to see you again next year!

We’re sold out!

We are very happy to announce that WordCamp Montreal 2015 is officially SOLD OUT! Tickets will NOT be available at the door.

We had just over 400 tickets this year, and we are thrilled to announce that we sold them all.

Want a ticket? Have an extra one?

We don’t have a single ticket left. But if you missed your chance to get a ticket, or if something has come up and you are unable to attend and you suddenly have an extra one, we suggest you let people know on twitter or in our Facebook group. Use the hashtag #wcmtl so people can find your message.

Thank you to our 2015 sponsors!

We wouldn’t be able to make WordCamp Montreal a reality without the help of our sponsors.

We’d especially like to thank our multi-event sponsors at the Outstanding, Superb and Splendid sponsor levels. These sponsors contribute to all the Canadian WordCamps and help grow our communities across the country.

Microsponsors!

Last but not least are our microsponsors, individuals and contractors who still want to suppor WordCamp. Being a microsponsor is easy, just buy the $200 ticket instead of the normal one.

This year’s microsponsors: DayChamp, Edouard Duplessis, and Le Goût du Libre.

Come to the WordCamp Montréal Picnic

Update:The picnic has been cancelled, due to rain.

Ready for some WordCamp fun? Come to our family-friendly picnic on Sunday, June 28 at 11:30.

We’ll be meeting at 11:30 at Mount Royal Park. The park is near Parc Avenue and Mont-Royal Boulevard. We’ll be meeting between the gazebo and the George-Étienne Cartier Monument (view on Google Maps). Bring your lunch!

This event doesn’t require tickets (you will need a ticket to attend the conference, of course). Feel free to bring along friends and family. This is a child-friendly event. Everyone is welcome, just bring enough lunch for you and your friends.

In case of rain, the picnic will be cancelled and we’ll post a message on the WordCamp Montréal website.

The Happiness Bar Needs You!

Are you a WordPress expert? Do you like helping others and contributing to the open source community? Well here’s your chance!

What is the Happiness Bar?
The Happiness Bar is a special activity at WordCamp where local and visiting WordPress experts offer help and advice to other attendees who come up to the “bar” with their questions. Help a beginners just starting out, solve a tricky configuration problem or a plugin issue, or help an enterprise figure out how WordPress can fit into their plans.

How much time do I have to commit to?
As a Happiness Bar volunteer you need to commit to one-hour blocks of time. Choose one block or many!

What are the benefits?
It’s a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people and show them how much you know (maybe they’ll hire you!). Happiness Bar volunteers don’t get free attendance because it’s a fun and rewarding activity on it’s own. It’s also a great way to give back to the open source community.

How can I get involved?
If you’re better at answering questions than asking please come to the bar and help out! You can sign up to be an official happiness barista on the volunteering page.

Call for Volunteers Now Open

The WordCamp Montreal call for volunteers is officially open!

WordCamp Montréal remains an affordable and independent event because of the important work done by our volunteers. Help us make this year the best WordCamp ever!

Volunteer tasks include: general assistance, helping attendees find the right room, helping with the registration desk, advance setup on the Friday before WordCamp, setup on Saturday/Sunday morning, cleanup on Saturday/Sunday afternoon, and videotaping our presentations.

Volunteers able to give at least 4 hours of their time over the weekend will receive free admission on request.

Be a True Believer and Microsponsor WordCamp Montreal

Are you a freelancer or a small company or partnership using WordPress? Are you looking for a way to give back to the WordPress community? As in previous years, WordCamp Montreal is offering microsponsorships.

WordPress is a world where you don’t need to be a big company to be a professional and we want to give the smaller players a chance to contribute as well. To this end we are offering a limited number of micro-sponsorships at $200 each.

Note: Only individuals and tiny companies should purchase microsponsorships. We hope that larger organizations will find our other sponsorship levels acceptable.

Micro-sponsors won’t have big logos on the site or merch but will have text links accompanying various sponsor listings. You will also be given opportunities during the event to address attendees with a promotional message about you and whatever WordPress-related services you offer.

By limiting the number of these available we hope to make each micro-sponsor a rockstar at the event itself.

We usually sell Micro-sponsorships as a form of really expensive ticket to simplify the process of signing up.
